-WHAT AREA SIZE CAN YOU COLLECT PER FLIGHT?
With the ideal imagery overlaps, we are capable of collecting areas of up to 1000 acres per flight. It can collect up to 2 miles in a linear collection (roads, ditch, river etc..) It could do more but the FAA requires it to remain in visual range of the UAV Pilot.
-HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO EXTRACT ACCURATE ELEVATION DATA FROM 2-D PHOTOGRAPHS?
Sophisticated photogrammetry and 3-D rendering routines process the 2-D GeoStar UAV images into a geo-registered, dense point cloud terrain model. Raw imagery is prepared through proprietary routines and a combination of aircraft, camera and ground data is used at different times in the processing runs to create the model. Working with high-resolution photographs in this way requires a lot of processing “horsepower.” AeroLogix computers are specifically configured for rapid processing and quick turnaround of GIS deliverables.
-WHERE AND HOW WILL YOU BE ALLOWED TO OPERATE?
Operations are generally limited to areas that are not densely populated clear of airport areas unless prior approval is obtained. Airspace authorization for some commercial operations under the 333 exemption will need to be obtained in advance. The FAA advertises 2-3 weeks to obtain such authorizations.
-HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Costs will vary depending on operational parameters and the required deliverables. Our market research indicates we can deliver equivalent or superior GIS and Civil Engineering products for 40-60% less than conventional providers.
-HOW WILL COSTS BE CALCULATED?
Costs will be calculated based on:
-Desired resolution. Higher resolution options may require more flights, photos, processing etc…
-Area size. Larger areas require more flights, photos, processing etc..
-Ground control requirements. AeroLogix can provide ground control as needed for each project.
-Required deliverables. With products ranging from simple aerial photographs to geo-registered mosaics and elevation models to 3d CAD models, costs will vary depending on the complexity of the final deliverables.
