Advanced 3-D rendering routines convert high resolution GeoStar UAV 2-D imagery into textured 3-D terrain models with survey-grade geo-registration accuracy. A variety of GIS and CAD compatible modeling formats are available
High Resolution Aerial Imagery
Great GIS products begin with great photography. The AeroLogix Geostar UAV flies fully automated precision tracks, capturing hundreds of high resolution digital photographs from its 36MP full-frame imager.
Capturing up to 1000 acres per collection flight, photographic resolution of up to 1 inch per pixel is possible.
Digital Elevation Modeling
Accurate digital elevation modeling is delivered with each aerial survey.
Digital Surface Models (DSM) show structures and foliage elevations along with precision ground plane geometry.
Digital Terrain Models (DTM) deliver only precision ground plane data
AeroLogix DEMs are compatible with all 2D and 3D GIS viewing software.
-WHAT AREA SIZE CAN YOU COLLECT PER FLIGHT?
With the ideal imagery overlaps, we are capable of collecting areas of up to 1000 acres per flight. It can collect up to 2 miles in a linear collection (roads, ditch, river etc..) It could do more but the FAA requires it to remain in visual range of the UAV Pilot.
-HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO EXTRACT ACCURATE ELEVATION DATA FROM 2-D PHOTOGRAPHS?
Sophisticated photogrammetry and 3-D rendering routines process the 2-D GeoStar UAV images into a geo-registered, dense point cloud terrain model. Raw imagery is prepared through proprietary routines and a combination of aircraft, camera and ground data is used at different times in the processing runs to create the model. Working with high-resolution photographs in this way requires a lot of processing “horsepower.” AeroLogix computers are specifically configured for rapid processing and quick turnaround of GIS deliverables.
-WHERE AND HOW ARE YOU ALLOWED TO OPERATE?
Operations under FAA Part 107 are generally limited to areas that are not densely populated and clear of airport areas unless prior approval is obtained. Airspace authorization for some commercial operations under Part 107 will need to be obtained in advance. The FAA advertises 2-3 weeks to obtain such authorizations.
-HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Costs will vary depending on operational parameters and the required deliverables. Our market research indicates we can deliver equivalent or superior GIS and Civil Engineering products for 40-60% less than conventional providers.
-HOW WILL COSTS BE CALCULATED?
Costs will be calculated based on:
-Desired resolution. Higher resolution options may require more flights, photos, processing etc…
-Area size. Larger areas require more flights, photos, processing etc..
-Ground control requirements. AeroLogix can provide ground control as needed for each project.
-Required deliverables. With products ranging from simple aerial photographs to geo-registered mosaics and elevation models to 3d CAD models, costs will vary depending on the complexity of the final deliverables.
Geo-Registered Orthophoto Mosaics
AeroLogix data processing clusters perform advanced photogrammetry and point cloud generation routines to produce accurate ground plane geometry and seamless imagery stitching. Survey-grade geo-registration is validated for each aerial collection. Resulting imagery products are compatible with all popular GIS viewing programs.
Aerial Imagery and Terrain Modeling
FAA Approved Unmanned Aircraft Technology
AeroLogix advanced photogrammetry routines extract precision elevation data from GeoStar UAV imagery. Using advanced GIS software, topographic maps are easily created with contouring, shading and feature sets tailored to each project.
The GeoStar UAV is capable of imaging up to 1000 acres on a single mission. AeroLogix has achieved an ideal combination of imaging system, collection parameters and endurance to deliver amazing 3.0cm imagery across 1000 acre sampling areas.
